BRIDGE Project

Youth Integrated Development Organization

YIDO, in partnership with War Child Canada, is implementing a five-year BRIDGE project that began in 2022 across three Accelerated Education Program (AEP) centres (Bwiizi Seed Secondary School, Ntenungi Secondary School and Rwamwanja Secondary School).

The project aims to support learners who have lost valuable school time due to conflicts in their home countries and the COVID-19 pandemic.

This initiative connects secondary education with skills development, creating pathways to job opportunities for refugee and host community youth in Uganda.

Through a compressed 2-year accelerated education curriculum, the program enables youth to resume and complete lower secondary education annually, equipping them with the tools for academic success and a brighter future.

After completion of lower secondary school education, learners are sponsored for A-level education, Vocational education and University education through the Mastercard Scholarship.
