Overview: Kamwokya Youth Development Association (KYDEVA) SACCO Ltd. is a Ugandan, community-based SACCO that was registered in 2009 with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives under registration No. 8976/RCS. The SACCO’s mission is to provide affordable and accessible financial services to its members, contributing to their economic empowerment and improved household income.

Through the provision of community-based financial services, the SACCO targets both members and non-members, focusing on building their capacities. We support community participation in self-help projects aimed at improving livelihoods, finding sustainable solutions to poverty, and enhancing the overall quality of life for Ugandans.

Services Offered:

KYDEVA SACCO Ltd. offers a wide range of services to its members, aimed at boosting membership growth and supporting members’ businesses. These services include both financial and non-financial offerings, all focused on improving the incomes of individuals and groups.

Membership Development:

KYDEVA SACCO Ltd. has a total membership of 4,046, which includes youth, women, and men involved in various business activities. Our membership is organized into 108 groups, consisting of individuals engaged in small and micro-business enterprises

 

2.1. Membership and Enterprise Development

KYDEVA SACCO Ltd. has a diverse membership engaged in various enterprises, including charcoal sellers, chapatti makers, cake bakers, caterers, hairdressers, shoemakers, Boda Boda (motorcycle taxi) groups, welders, food vendors, roadside vendors, and hawkers, among others. These groups provide the SACCO with a solid foundation for growth and serve as a basis for continuous mobilization and community engagement.

2.2. SACCO Share Capital Fund

Over the years, KYDEVA SACCO has built a total share capital of Shs. 245,460,000. This capital has been accumulated through individual and group membership recruitment and share acquisition. Each share has a nominal value of Shs. 10,000.

2.3. SACCO Loan/Credit Services

Through our revolving fund, the SACCO offers affordable credit facilities to its registered members to support their business needs at competitive interest rates. These loan services are available exclusively to fully paid-up and active members. The process involves a well-designed loan appraisal system aimed at promoting membership and business growth, as well as mitigating risks to ensure smooth repayment. Loan offerings include:
